I was at TJ July 81 - Dec 83, got exiled back to the states when they converted to F-16's. I was assigned to the 401 CRS until my shop disbanded, then was assigned as NCOIC Correctional Custody. Loved Spain.

Hi Everyone! I'm looking for anyone who attended the Air Force elementary school in Madrid (on Calle Dr. Fleming)from 1961-63.I was a civilian dependent and loved every minute of time I was in Spain.I am also looking for one Kerry Dean, whose father,I believe, was a mechanic at Torrejon. The family lived off base in an area outside Madrid known as La Montana. Also looking for one Tom Reilly, but I don't know if his father was military or not.Thanks.

I grew up in T.J.A.F.B Spain. My dad was Chief at the A.M.S. I lost contact with everyone I grew up with there. I miss T.J, its a part of me, and its sad that there are lost memories there. I googled earth the base, and its so empty. I looked at the T.J football field and all that is left is the track. If anyone grew up there like me, E mail me..

Hi David, I was stationed there and remember you and your wife. My handle was Guido. Hit me back at ekemp3@yahoo

David Cox Tuesday, 27 September 2011 21:08
Hello David!
I'm Dave Cox, I worked Tech Control from Feb 1985 - Feb 1987. When I left I was E4/SrA.

Do you remember Sgt.Steve Sutton, Sgt.Kim Marks, TSgt.David Vinatieri, MSgt.James Flack, Sgt. Webb (Dan?), Amn.Kristine Martinez, I can't remember everyone in tech control (and these names don't include the radio relay folks).

I don't know if you'll get this message, so I'll try your email if the link is good.

I live in Bluefield, Va, which is on the WV state line (Bluefield, WV).

I believe that I remember you. If you can remember names of others, especially when you first got there, I know there are a lot of folks that I've forgotten about.

I went to Falcon AFS, CO (near Cheyenne Mt. and Peterson AFB) after Torrejon.

The AFSC changed from 307x0 when I started, to 493x0 when I went to Colorado.

I actually scored high enough on my first try to make E5 Staff Sgt, but my line number was so low (due to not much time in service) that when I didn't re-enlist for 4 they put me out early (because of overall troop reductions) so I never got the promo.

My enlistment was supposed to be up in July 1988, but got out in March instead, so no promo. (I was Sgt E4 when I got out)

I offered to extend just to get the promo (plus I really liked Co. Springs), but the AF said no.

I didn't mean to give a whole history.

If you want, send me a message back

Dave Cox
