I was in the 401ST Sup(document control) form 1981-1984 and did not want to leave. Loved Spain, especially Madrid & Segovia. Looking for civilian I worked with Jose Rodriquez & another military friend Nancy Glidden. Nancy & I played on base softball team and had great times in Greece & England. Hope I get back there someday!!!

Wauhhh.. Hi Lorrie. I worked with you in Doc. Ctrl. supervised by MSgt Murguia. Yes, you had a good relationship to Jose Manuel Rodriguez Lazaro, my workmate since we both took care of RECEIPTS. You may still remember me, the youngest one, 23 to 26. Other names of the civilians were Tosimo, Pedro. I still have your face on my retina. If you want to contact Jose, I just give you his complete name. See if you can find him around the cyberglobal world. If not, let me know and I will try to find him. Nice to recall you and thos times

My husband and I were stationed at Torrejon from 6/77 thru 5/80. We loved it so much we extended another year to 5/81. We left part of our hearts there. Such a wonderful place and wonderful people. Jim worked at Humosa in telecommunications. Would love to hear from M.R. (John Tinsley), Joe Bellamy, Don Kovalefski, Larry LeSure and any others who worked with him (especially the 'C' Shift group).

Was at TJ from Jan 69 to Jun 71. Worked in Admin of 307th. Lived on base and had an apt in Madrid with other guys from 441MMS and 307th. Hung out at the outdoor cafes on gran via and at the mesones (meson de las austrias & de championes)trolling for tourists and "junior yr aboard" girls; also went to Stones Club & other dicoteques and some bar americanos; dated a spanish girl for about a year before I left. The experience changed my life. Learned spanish, returned to college, got BS & earned a International MBA from Univ of So Carolina, was an int'l banker & worked for American Express. It all started in Madrid. I teach college now and tell them "what happened in Madrid, stays in Madrid". It was a great time and a great experience.

Hey Frog, I still have a bottle of champagne with your signiture on it. You signed it at my house in Royal Oaks. Do you remember. I also have some pictures of the "Wall of China" made of beer cans at my house. Mayte and I Live in Long Island, NY and "snowbird" to St. Lucie Florida. Hope you check this site from time to time. I just found it. The last time I was in Madrid, they were closing the Meson de Las Austrias and remodeling it for something else. What a shame. Great memories there! I keep in touch with Weaver, J.R. and found Butch recently.

Was stationed at Torrejon Air Base, Spain from 1987-1990. I would have to agree with others that TJ was the best assignment in the Air Force! Worked in the 625 CAMS Orderly Room as a Personnel Tech.
