I am presently involved in an urgent effort to find people with whom I served and need your assistance. I am specifically seeking anyone who served on the hospital staff or who played football on the Torrejon Raiders football team in the fall of 1975.

I was badly injured in practice and spent several weeks recuperating. The injuries included damage to my spine which did not show up until after my discharge. This has resulted in a chronic, painful condition which, if not corrected soon, could result in paralysis. Now the VA is attempting to deny my disability claim because they have no medical records from the event. I have been charged with locating somebody who can verify my claim of injury.

Anyone you could connect me with from that period would be helpful, as one person could lead me to the person to whom I need to connect.

If you cannot give me their email address for security reasons, I understand; but please forward this message so that they may contact me.

I thank you in advance for your assistance in this urgent matter.

Best regards,
Wes

I was a dependent at Torrejon 62-66. graduating from HS just before we left. Dad was in Base Supply Jimmy (Rufus ) Cross. The time spent there was some of the happiest times of our lives....but everyone says the same. I have been back to Madrid occasionally, its still a great city!

John, I remember you in the 613th Squids. John Neff (Crew Dog) worked with me here until recently but he's still here in Las Vegas. Craig Holleran (do you remember him?) he lives somewhere up in Maine but I forget the town. I talked to him recently and he is doing fine.

Hi Brian, I got in contact with John Neff and John Lanier via Facebook recently. I remember you and Craig. Didn't know that Craig was a Mainer. I remember a radar tech named Brad Hoyt, who I think was also from Maine.

Was assigned to the post office from 83-86. Live in TJ and had a great time. Saw a lot of great heavy metal concerts in Madrid (Iron Maiden, Dokken, Accept)and Joan Jett. Met Alice Cooper at the Rec Center in 86.
