When they closed the base, we opened at RAF Mildenhall, England, which we closed in 2007, now we live in Alicante, Spain.
We will be very glad to hear from anyone that remember us.

Weldon, I sort of remember you. I played for Postal sqd. Frank Carmona and I were going to play on base team in 62, but last min. couldn\'t go. We were both in OSI.I think the torn. was in Sidi Slimane, Morocco, in 62. We got to go in 63, to Zaragoza for the torn. I played ss, and Carmona 1B. I remember Bob Miles good hitter, outfielder, Ken Bolton, Pitched, and Frank Pesce 2nd base. Just a few names. It was good times. smile

I was stationed at TJ from Oct 61 til Nov 62. I loved it there, but my Dad was very ill and I had to go home. I worked at 65th Hq in Personnel, and played all squadron sports, fb, bb, and pitched for the soft ball team. I have a photo of that team I played on, but have no idea how to enter it. We may have played against each other. You probably won, aswe were not very good.

Weldon: we were stationed together, same place, same time. I have sent you an e-mail message but have not heard back.

We both were stationed in TJ from 1981-1984, I worked in the 613 AMU as an avionics technician and Margaret worked in 16 AF HQ Operations. I remember selling ham, egg and cheese sandwiches to everyone on dayshift in our break area and sometimes going over to the Spanish AF died for bocadillo sandwiches (make a list)....very much enjoyed having dinner at the Rib House. Some very fond memories of our tour of duty.
